Step by step: connect your form, CRM or Zapier to your agent, through a webhook
Updated 10/18/2026
Until now the agent worked when you typed to it or on a schedule. The Webhook app gives it a third source of work: events. Your contact form, CRM, online shop or Zapier send data straight to your box, and the agent processes it. In this guide we connect the website contact form and end up with automatically qualified leads, reply draft included.
Step 1: install Webhook
On the AgentBox tab, under Apps, click Install on Webhook. The install is nearly instant: the box mints its own address with a secret key, shown on the tile right away with a copy button. The address belongs to your box, not to a third-party service: the data comes straight to you.
Step 2: put the address where the data is born
Copy the address and paste it where the data originates: the contact form (every form builder has a webhook field), the CRM's integrations section, or a Zapier or Make step. Anything that can send a POST with JSON can plug in here. From now on, every delivery waits patiently on the box until the agent picks it up.
Step 3: teach the agent what to do
From the Tasks tab you create a scheduled task, say every 15 minutes, with a prompt like:
Check with agentbox-webhook list whether new deliveries arrived. For each lead: read it, look the company up on the internet, judge how good a fit it is for our services, write a personalized reply draft and record everything in the journal. Mark the delivery as processed when done.
The agentbox-webhook list, read and done commands are already on the box, and the agent knows them from its instructions. The journal keeps it from processing the same lead twice.
Step 4: test end to end
Fill in the website form yourself, with test data. Within minutes the scheduled run picks it up: the qualification shows in the journal and the draft is waiting. Tune the prompt until the replies sound like you: this is where the quality is won.
Step 5: grow from here
The same pattern covers any event: a new shop order triggers the personalized thank-you email, a new ticket gets a documented first reply, a monitoring alert starts an investigation. Combined with scheduled tasks and email triage, the box becomes the employee that never sleeps: events in, work out.
What you end up with
- Your own webhook address, on your own box, with a secret key.
- Leads qualified and reply drafts generated automatically, around the clock.
- An automation pattern that extends to any event in the company.
