AgentBox & AI agents

Step by step: Cursor on the AgentBox, the AI editor running in the cloud

Updated 10/18/2026

Cursor is the editor of choice for many people who build with AI: you write and edit code in a dialog with the model, right in the editor. On an AgentBox, Cursor runs on the cloud desktop with your own Cursor account, and the projects live on the same box the terminal agents work on. The result: a complete AI development environment, reachable from any browser.

Step 1: install Cursor

On the AgentBox tab, under Apps, click Install on Cursor. The box downloads the official stable build and puts it in the applications menu. Open it in the Desktop view and sign in with your Cursor account; your existing subscription applies as usual.

Step 2: open the project on the box

Open the box's project folder in Cursor, for example the app you started through vibe coding in the terminal. Same files, two tools: the terminal agent for long autonomous tasks, Cursor for conversational editing, where you see every proposed change before accepting it.

Step 3: the two-player flow

The combination that works in practice: in the morning you hand the terminal agent a big task (migrate, refactor, write the tests), and when you come back you open the result in Cursor and work the fine parts yourself, with the editor's AI at your side. There is no sync step: same disk, same project.

Step 4: the desk from anywhere

A weak laptop or a tablet becomes enough: Cursor runs on the cloud box, not on your machine. The console's fullscreen view gives it the whole screen, and the session stays open exactly as you left it, files and conversations included. For the classic version of the same setup, see VS Code on the AgentBox.

What you end up with

  • Cursor with your account, on a desktop that never shuts down.
  • The same projects shared with the terminal agents, no syncing.
  • A complete AI development environment, from any browser.
