Backup Boxes
Reliable off-server backup storage, reachable over SFTP/SSH. Billed hourly, upgrade any time, cancel any time.
Why a Backup Box
Connect over SFTP, SCP, SMB/Samba or WebDAV and use it as a network drive or as a target for your backup tools.
Create separate logins, each with its own folder, password and access (SSH/SMB/WebDAV/read-only), ideal for teams and clients.
Pay only while the box exists, with no minimum contract. Cancel any time and billing stops immediately.
Data kept on redundant (RAID) storage with checksum verification, so it withstands drive failures.
Move to a bigger box any time with no migration, space grows in place and your credentials stay the same.
Your data stays in European Union data centers, GDPR-compliant.
Protocols & tools
Access the box over standard protocols and use it with the most popular backup tools, no proprietary software.
What you use it for
Keep copies of your servers, databases and websites off the main machine, ready to restore.
Works with Restic, Rclone, BorgBackup and rsync, automate incremental, encrypted backups.
Give each team member or client a sub-account with limited access to their own folder, over SMB, WebDAV or SFTP.
Store archives, media and large files at a low price per TB, reachable from anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect to the Backup Box?
Over SFTP/SCP on port 22, or over SMB/Samba and WebDAV once you enable them in the panel. You get the host, username and password in your console.
Can I give someone limited access?
Yes. Create sub-accounts with their own folder and password, and choose which protocols they can use (SSH, SMB, WebDAV) or whether they're read-only.
How does billing work?
Hourly, from your account credit, only while the box exists. There's no minimum contract, cancel any time.
Can I grow the space later?
Yes, move to a bigger box any time straight from the console, with no migration and no change to your credentials.
Is my data safe?
It's kept on redundant (RAID) storage with checksum verification, in EU data centers. We still recommend keeping backups in more than one place.
