Step by step: the Office suite on your AgentBox, documents drafted by the agent and finished by you
Updated 10/18/2026
An AI agent that writes documents is only useful if you can open the result, fix it and send it on in the format the client expects. This guide does exactly that: we install the Office suite on an AgentBox, the agent prepares a monthly report, and you polish it on the live desktop without installing anything on your own computer.
Step 1: install the Office suite
In the server console, on the AgentBox tab, under Apps, click Install on Office suite. Within minutes the box gets LibreOffice Writer, Calc and Impress, plus fonts that are metric-compatible with Calibri and Cambria, so documents coming from Microsoft Office look the way the sender sees them. If you do not have the box yet, the getting-started guide takes you from order to first prompt in 15 minutes.
Step 2: ask for the document
In the terminal, tell the agent something like:
Write the monthly report for client X: the activities from the journal, the hours worked and the recommendations for next month. Save it as report-x.docx on the Desktop and make the PDF version too.
The agent drafts the content, builds the Word file and runs soffice --headless --convert-to pdf for the version you send out. Both files land on the Desktop, which means you see them straight away in the console's Desktop view.
Step 3: finish on the live desktop
Switch to the Desktop view or Side by side and double-click the document to open it in Writer. Fix the wording, move a paragraph, adjust the header. Everything happens on the box, from the browser, from any computer or tablet. When you are happy, ask the agent to regenerate the PDF and attach it to an email draft, which you approve before it goes anywhere.
Step 4: files other people send you
The suite opens and edits the .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files received by email or downloaded by the agent, and saves them back in the same format or as PDF. For documents generated from data, with formulas and charts built programmatically, install Document tools as well: the two apps complement each other.
What you end up with
- A complete office in the cloud: the agent writes, you correct, the client gets the PDF.
- Real compatibility with Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, fonts included.
- Nothing installed on your own computer: everything runs on the AgentBox.
